Why we created SE Careers

You can probably name a half dozen different job search websites in the time it will take you to read this.

So why do we need another?

In one of my early job searches I recall struggling to find a job that matched my unique structural skills at a company that met my specific (career) needs. Imagine for example the task of finding the right job and company for 'A junior design engineer with a PE, who is proficient in ETABS and RAM, interested in design work on stadium structures, at a firm that provides support and encourages professional development training'.

While you might be able to get there eventually using the other sites lists of jobs for structural engineers, it will no doubt take significant time and effort to drill into the job details and company websites to find what you are looking for.

SE Careers specializes in exposing job and company attributes that are important to structural engineers in all stages of their careers. We want to allow firms to highlight what makes them unique and for you to shine a light on your unique skills, interests and desires to find not just a job but a potential home for the rest of your career.
